Happy MONDAY!!

What a wonderful Sunday (for October) we had.  The Motor Corps had their picnic and I understand everyone had a good time.

Tonight we begin planning YOUR 2014 Circus.  Be ready to help out when asked.  We are looking for an increase in shows and attendance in February.  It will take help from everyone to make it the continued success as we have seen the past couple of years.

DID YOU HEAR???  You could WIN a new Ford F-150 at the golf outing on August 17!  Beau Townsend Ford is sponsoring  a hole in one contest and you could be the winner.  Look at your Crier or the Antioch website for sign-up details!!

Enjoy your week everyone!!

We say goodbye!

Tonight we said goodbye to our Potentate in 2007, Roland Williams 33rd.  Roland became a Shriner in the year my dad was Potentate 1973.  A very distinguished Mason/Shriner.  He was a former member of the Rovers and formed the Gun Club.   Rest my friend from your labors.  We will meet again soon!!
PICNIC SEASON IS UNDERWAY!

The Bobbies held their summer picnic yesterday.  What a good time everyone had.  They even put on their now almost famous Mouse Degree.    Your Divan will try to make all your picnics this summer. Please make sure you let us know so we can have fun with you!!

HOT HOT HOT!! IN WAPAK!

It was a hot night in MOON CITY for the Annual Aug-Mer Car Show... How hot?  The temperature was 94 when I arrived, and the show was at its hottest when over 225 cars attended.  There was a car there from as far away as Ontario Canada!

We were introduced to one of the former Shuttle Astronauts  who was in town for the anniversary of Neil Armstrong's walk on the moon!

A great time and special pats on the back to everyone who put on the show!!  The estimated  proceeds of $3,500 will go to the Funster's Red Sneaker Fund for research at the Cincinnati Burns Hospital!!

Zack & Ashley put on a GREAT SHOW!!

Here Ambassador Jim May is working very hard!

Of course there was food as Dave always seems to find!

Some of our Funsters came out and played with the kids!!

A wonderful Evening!!

PARADE

PARADE DAY PICTURES in Indy

When the rain quite for a few hours we made a mad dash for the parade route.  After dealing with some people who don't understand ANTIOCH comes out in force, we did get everyone together and what a site we made in downtown Indianapolis.

A look at the Funsters rig shows it loaded to brim with clowns.  What a great job Mick & Brian did to add to the rig to the clown fest at the beginning of the parade.  Over 600 clowns began the parade.

Indy

GOODBYE INDIANAPOLIS!

We said goodbye to Indy today and everyone has returned home.  What a GREAT week we had!  Our Funsters & Pipers won International competitions.  Over 200 nobles and ladies were in Indy and for more than 1/2 it was their first convention.   About 5 or 6 just came into the Shrine this year.

ANTIOCH proved again we are back, proud and ready to restore our place as #1 in Shriners International.  We were the LARGEST Visiting Temple on the street for the parade.

Lady Pam & I and the entire Divan and their ladies were so proud to be able to host you this week.  You all now have the institutional knowledge of a convention to pass on to the future nobles and families. Next year Scott will welcome you all to Minneapolis MN.  Look for information coming our later in the year..

Even though mother nature spoiled the last part of the Indy 500 party, we had over 1/2 take a ride in an INDY CAR!

.

Over the next few days I will post some of the pictures from this week!

THANK YOU ANTIOCH!!!
