What a great way to begin fall then with the FALL FESTIVAL event at JD Legends!  What started as a fun day of family events for adults and the kids, turned into a surprise party for the Pote. (not sure how this was kept quiet)
HONORING OUR PAST.... In 1982 at my first GLSA there was a party to celebrate our awards from the Motor Corps banquet.  Mitzi Mittlestead along with the other Motor Corps ladies got me a belly dancer for my birthday..... Fast forward to 2013 she was BACK, thanks to my twin brother (or sister).   What a great day and thanks to everyone who came out!

Last night I was able to join my twin brother by separate mothers Bret Staller as we celebrated our 55th birthday! Had a good time with our clowns and their traditional brats & corn dinner.

Also learned they are going to re-open the Logan Co. Shrine Club. Great to hear the club starting up again after we lost a couple. Put me down as a member!!

A great weekend comes to an end and ANTIOCH did a FEZ-TASTIC job hosting the 2013 GLSA session.  to cap off the weekend, Antioch brought home trophies for the BOBBIES, PIPERS, MARCHING PATROL and the S.A.C aka the FUNSERS!!  Finally WE....yes WE...ALL OF YOU!! brought home the BEST PARADE TEMPLE!!

I am very proud of everyone who had any part in the weekend events.  I had to honor to spend some time this weekend with Imperial Sir John Cinotto, he told me he is very proud of ANTIOCH!  I told him we are his #1 Temple!!   GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!

A very long day but it was worth it.  Competitions by the clowns, bobbies and pipers should bring some great hardware back to Antioch. The golf teams lead by Kevin Sweeny had a 3 way tie for the trophy, that had to go through 4 tie breakers.  Antioch cam in second....

A special honor to Antioch from Imperial Sir John Cinatto for Antioch's GOLD status in membership.

The Big Parade today to honor Ills Sir Doug Sorrell on a great GLSA SESSION!

Welcome to the fall GLSA SESSION. I am pleased to tell you that ANTIOCH was the only....Yes the ONLY Gold Temple in membership. Fantastic job!!! Remember as we get towards November for our Ceremonial.

I want to THANK everyone who were able to attend a SPECIAL Thursday night Parade.  We have been to a lot of parades in a lot of communities and here is one that really appreciated us being there!  A small community with a LARGE turn out!
Dear Sirs,
I would like to thank you so very much for making the Saint Paris Pony Wagon Parade a most memorable one.     It was one of the best parades we have had in several years. You always participate, but this year, there were so many different entries, it was truly amazing.    You do so much for the children and no one could ever repay you for that. Thank you so much.    I know Mr. Dan Bentley and Mr. Greg Burroughs from our town and it always a joy to see them in those 'little red' cars.    Again, I would like to thank you and I know so many more people who commented on your showing this year. Please continue to come back!!                                                                                                                        Deby Williams
Also a BIG THANK YOU to BUD PARSONS and Greg Burroughs, along with cooks Nelson Spellmand & Rob Butler for a fantastic Afterglow at the Famous Parsons Party Barn.  Always a great time up there.  A young at heart, 90 year old BUD still out there parading with us, is truly part of the HONORING OUR PAST!  Great stories and times from years gone bye!  Makes us proud for what they have done in the past to get us here today!!
